English term

to capture spend

English to Italian Marketing Food & Drink
The mission we are on impacts how we shop.
If we think about Martin on his ‘meal for tonight’ mission, it was a combination of ‘grab & go’ for the chicken - he knew what he wanted and just needed to find it.
For the wine, it was much more ‘considered’ – he had an idea of what he wanted, but he needed to consider options, for example, the type of wine, the brand and the price.
The desserts were an ‘impulse’ purchase – not planned to buy, but were there, fitted with his meal need and added some healthy indulgence.
On leisure and gifting missions, we tend to be in more ‘educate’ and ‘experience’ mode.
Each mode requires a different solution for the shopper, categories often have a predominant shopper mode.
To meet the needs of the changing shopper demands and range of missions, retailers are having to diversify their offer to enable them **to capture spend**.
Hypermarkets and supermarkets are focusing on big shop and leisure missions, offering product choice, as well as a range of experiences.
Smaller convenient stores in high traffic and transient locations offer a quick shopping experience for predominantly top up, functional and food to go missions.
Online ordering provides the convenience of ordering at your leisure with the option of home delivery or collect from the store.

Example sentence:

An amount of money spent on something

attrarre i clienti all'acquisto

Il senso è questo a mio parere

Anche solo "attrarre gli acquisti".
