If the thermographer or I & E Technician notices a temperature gradient that is equal to or > 90.2° F on any component during the survey, they must stop the survey immediately and notify Facility Management immediately. Refer to Table 1 below.

4.5.9. Table 1 – Condition Exceptions based on temperature Gradient

Temperature Gradient Deficiency and Actions Required
1.8° F to 10.1° F **ADVISORY deficiency – warrants investigation**
10.2° F to 50.1° F MODERATE deficiency - repair as time permits.
50.2° F to 90.1° F SERIOUS deficiency; prompt action recommended.
Equal to or > 90.2° F CRITICAL deficiency - component failure and personal/property damage imminent; immediate action recommended.
