ok, allora: non so come fare per risponderti direttamente, per cui provo a postare un'altra risposta e vediamo se va: visto che il senso è guarnire, stiracchiandolo un po' potresti considerare un "abbellimento" il tirarla a lucido: è vuota ma perfetta.......

Ma se, uscendo un po' dalla traduzione, si provasse con un "intatta", per dire che si era mantenuta tale dai tempi della sua costruzione? Non so, vedi se può servire in questo caso...

se la stanza è vuota, ma sappiamo cosa vuol dire "garnish" , secondo me era stata "rifinita" in ogni dettaglio, in attesa dei suoi "ospiti".
