Seductively silky and rich on the palate, this very sweet wine showcases malvasia puntinata's ripe tropical fruit flavors and resiny, creamy mouth feel.
Bright acids give the wine wonderful clarity and lift, and extend the flavors on the palate-staining finish, but this wine will not make old bones.
(Unfortunately, my ***early tastings*** of the '07 XXX do not bode as well.)
