This is about the development of an app that helps improve internet visibility of legal services/lawyers etc.
I don't know the best phrasing or choice of word to use here, I don't know how the literal translations of "applicable" or "give relevance to" etc would fit here.....
"In quest’ottica, è stato decisivo l’impiego di librerie già pronte e supportate da una community internazionale, completamente personalizzabili grazie agli stili CSS che hanno reso applicabile la brand identity di [xxxx].it."
I have put, so far:

I don't know the best phrasing or choice of word to use here, I don't know how the literal translations of "applicable" or "give relevance to" etc would fit here.....

I would reformulate slighty, and translate "completamente personalizzabili grazie agli stili CSS che hanno reso applicabile la brand identity di [xxxx].it." as something like:"fully customizable, thanks to the use of CSS styles to convey XXX's brand identity"
From what I gather, the sense is that the use of CSS styles make it possible to design web pages that effectively convey and present the brand identity (presumably in terms of style, colour, layout etc.). This is what the Wikipedia entry has to say about the subject:
"CSS is designed to enable the separation of presentation and content, including layout, colors, and fonts. This separation can improve content accessibility; provide more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CSS)
On a side point, "styles" may be more appropriate than designs, seeing that CSS is in fact a "style sheet language"

Yes, Lara, I wondered the same thing myself, but seeing as CSS is basically used "as is" rather than spelled out, the tautology doesn't necessarily sound too bad. Of course, you could just deal with the problem by cutting out the word entirely: "fully customizable, thanks to the use of CSS to convey XXX's brand identity"
