Italian term

concentro nel pieno e successivamente sotto vuoto

Italian to English Science Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng Laboratory procedure
This is the description of a laboratory procedure.
I am not sure about the meaning of "nel pieno" - does it mean "under normal pressure" as opposed to "sotto vuoto", that is, under vacuum?

Discussion

Zareh Darakjian Ph.D. Mar 20, 2008:
You are very welcome, moonshadow.
Gian Mar 16, 2008:
Inoltre... perché nel pieno dovrebbe significare "a pressione normale"?
Giovanni Pizzati (X) Mar 16, 2008:
Io concentro tu concentri, egli concentra... etc.. Meaningless word!
Gian Mar 16, 2008:
Qual è tutta la frase? In italiano non ha significato; "concentro" è la 1ª persona singolare dell' indicativo presente del verbo "concentrare"
Nadia Ayoub Mar 16, 2008:
I think you're right. Both concentration and under vacuum are methods for food preservation (for example tomato concentrate), so the meaning might be similar, they both concentrate the matter (in normal pressure) and then they put it under vacuum.

condensation cycles under normal pressure and under vacuum

I am not very sure here... it really depends on the more general context. What are they trying to do. Purify a a liquid, a metal?

Thank you, Gian for your comments. You have some very good points there... // I just looked at the part nel pieno e ... sotto vuoto and thought that this was one possibility. As you can see my confidence level is not high.
