Italian term
verifica
Italian to English
Tech/Engineering
Engineering (general)
Of course I know what the word means and the various usual translations in different contexts.
My problem here is finding the proper term in English in this particular context:
A company produces a product and asks an independent engineer to undertake an assessment of the design, with calculations, for the purpose of certifying that it complies with the relevant standards and / or legislation.
The engineer produces his or her report (relazione), which includes "Verifiche" of various aspects, e.g. Verifica allo Stato Limite Ultimo.
I suppose "calculation" might suffice but it doesn't really convey the approval aspect. Verification would be horrible translatorese!
Any bright ideas?

test - examination
Maybe you can use the words "test" or "examination". A suggestion.
50 mins
audit
that could be that

: I don't think audit fits here - I would go with test/testing or check dependign on how you turn the sentence

verify
In the world of safety engnnering (Cenelec) there is a process called V&V (Verification and Validation). This means that certain aspects have to be verified and then validated. In your case I am not sure whether the product has also to be validated so I would suggest Verify. You can refer to Cenelec standards 50126, 50128 and 50129.
