I'm translating part of a website for a pump production company where the list of materials which can be pumped includes "fanghi caricati". Can't quite make out what these might be. Would it be "activated sludge" or something similar? Here's the full context: "La nuova serie è progettata per il pompaggio di fanghi di miniera, fanghi derivanti dal trattamento acque, fanghi caricati, e simili." Then again: "La pompa è in grado di trasferire fanghi caricati con parti solide senza causare danni alle parti interne della pompa". Thanks for your help.

The types of materials handles by these sludge type pumps are those also handled in municipal water treatment. Have done several documents on this sort of treatment and the pumps used are heavy duty dredge pumps.
