2. Pronti contro termine attivi

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) balance sheet
In the accounts of a bank, are these the simple Repurchase agreements (repos) or are they the Rerverse repurchase agreements? I have looked in the glossary, but there is no reference to "reverse" there.

reverse repurchase assets

I think you have to specify that these are assets, because reverse repos. can also be liabilities.

Don't put "repo. assets" because that is something else.

Try googling and see what you get. I'm pretty sure that's how they put it in american statements though.

You can also go whole hog and put "reverse repurchase agreement assets". See commerzbank.

reverse repurchase agreements

I think PCT attivi are reverse repurchase agreements (i.e. buy now, sell back later)--see the description below.

Voce "E. Pronti contro termine attivi e operazioni assimilate"

I don't think "attivi" refers to whether the item is an asset or a liability per se, rather it describes the type of transaction. See Consob's description of PCT passivi:

Voce "I. Pronti contro termine passivi e operazioni assimilate"

Exactly--to put it another way, a normal RP is seen from the seller's point of view, and what the seller is basically doing is borrowing money secured by some assets (securities). In a reverse RP ("PCT attivi"), on the other hand, the transaction is seen from the buyer's point of view--the party providing cash up front.
Note from asker:
Paul impiego in banking is when the bank lends (supplies) money and finanziamento here is the raccolta or funding when the bank borrows money. I think, posting the question has helped me clarify my ideas.
Thanks Michael

agree Jerold Stamp : Attivo means that this is an asset. That means that you will be receiving the money back (soon probably tomorrow, and that you hold the security. That makes you the asset buyer, and the other party is obliged to repurchase it, hence this is a reverse repo
