Italiano term

interessato da

Da Italiano a Inglese Affari/Finanza Finanza (generale) operazioni finanziarie
I am wondering what the "da" does to the phrase;

la banca... interessata da xx per una eventuale ristrutturazione.

grazie

Discussion

Melissa Stanfield (asker) May 3, 2007:
Perhaps - in a police report regarding embezzlement, it is a list of banks having a meeting and the last one is "interessata da" a person that is being charged with the crime.
That might help?

Hi Melissa,
Can you give a bit more context

- it says "EVENTUALE ristrutturazione", so at that stage X had probably just contacted the bank to find out about getting a loan.

Is it a company or a person holding shares in the bank.. which should be restructured?

Implicata is the easier Italian term.
Hope this is confirmed by experts.

Another idea is that the bank was approached by a person who tried to interest it in an eventual restructuration (reorganization). But the entire Italian phrase could help us more.
Peer comment(s):

agree Mara Ballarini : involved by, ie the bank's interest/attention has been drawn by - synonym of interessata in this case is 'far intervenire'

agree Angie Garbarino : I understand like you, in this contenst it seems like this bank was asked to be involved, Mara is right, synomim is "far intervenire"
