Severance Indemnity
The term is used in the context of calculation of severance indemnity due for dismissal of employment. The paragraph reads:
From the kudoz glossary and the internet, I get the impression that this is sum reserve fund. But I would like feedback as I am not sure.
Thanks to all !!

provision made
"the provision made for the last year of work" "alternatively the sum set aside".
However as I understand this it is purely an accounting operation (there is not necessarily any cash fund formed), recorded as a liability and charged to the income statement and as such is termed a "provision" under "UK" accounting practice, although Americans might term it a reserve.
