persons covered. affine...for now I have put "related person". I think a different word would have been used to mean dependants. In my opinion, parente covers this. Any additional insight as to the difference in Italian between affine and parente greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul,
The difference between "parente" and "Affine" is that a "parente" is someone you are directly related to whereas an "affine" is someone you are related to by marriage.

nel linguaggio comune per parenti si intendono anche i "parenti acquisiti", ma in un'assicurazione e' necessario che non ci sia ambiguita'.
