Unfortunately not much context. These are listed as elements of a hydraulic power circuit. To be precise, the entry is "eventuali diaframmi e cassetti freno". I can't find any trace of "cassetti/o/a/e" followed by freno anywhere.
The only thing I've found that even appears to be in the same realm is "cassetto di distribuzione", but this appears to be strictly part of steam generators. any ideas?
