Italian term

artefatto da movimento

Italian to English Medical Medical: Cardiology CD imaging of aneurysmal dilation correction
The context is Colour Doppler imaging for follow-up of patients fitted with an endoprosthesis for aneurysmal dilation:

I'm not sure I understand what is meant here - surely aneurysms are corrected with a simple patch? Why would there be anything else artificial behind the endoprosthesis? Or have I completely misunderstood?

Idiot that I am (call it the effect of working all weekend), I didn't actually look up "artifact" in my medical dictionary before posting this question! It's all clear now.... thanks Gilberto.
