This is a PPT presentation on a pesticide product. Context: slide entitled "EFFICACY".
"Copertura NON completa della generazione - (arrow pointing right)
- 1-2 trattamenti
- Rilievo 14-18 gg DALA
- Testimone: 4-32% di frutti colpiti."
I assume this means that the trial data (results) were collected 14-18 days "from application of the product" but what exactly does DALA stand for?
Many thanks!

"δ-amino levulinic acid (DALA), a pesticide"
"DALA can be obtained from levulinic acid in high yield using a three-step process. DALA is a broad-spectrum pesticide that is nontoxic and biodegradable. Its activity is triggered by light, selectively killing weeds while leaving most major crops unaffected. DALA also shows potential as an insecticide."
