Italian term
bandiera a lampo di colore
Italian to English
Art/Literary
Military / Defense
Here again, a former (so perhaps not "permanent") soldier is speaking:
Sono segnalatore con la bandiera a lampo di colore, operiamo nella zona del Colle della Maddalena.
It's a kind of signaling and communication system that apparently uses a flag with two colors. Does anybody know what it might be called in English? "A color-flash flag" doesn't really sound right to me.

I was wrong the first time. Here they speak of a red flag and a white flag. Interesting article.

Comment: "My flag is only one, and it's not like the flags in your link, but the idea is the same.
Thanks."
