Italian term

La Desolata

Italian to English Art/Literary Religion processions
From the two Easter processions in the Apulian town of Canosa: "Sono ben due le affollate processioni in onore dell’Addolorata e della Desolata con cortei di bambini vestiti da angeli e donne in nero che intonano lo Stabat Mater."

If the Addolorata is "Our Lady of (Seven) Sorrows" (I presume), how can we best distinguish in English between the two processions?
Proposed translations (English)
3 Our Lady of Sorrows at the Foot of the Cross

Trovo un unico riferimento che distingue tra Madonna Addolorata, "Colei che piange il figlio morto" e Madonna Desolata, "Colei che cerca il figlio", ma non so se fa al caso tuo... né credo ti aiuti molto nella traduzione.

Our Lady of Sorrows at the Foot of the Cross

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that is right - as opposed to "Our Lady of (Seven) Sorrows" or the Addolorata.
