Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Daniela Zambrini, James (Jim) Davis

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Joseph Tein Oct 4, 2014:
Context! I agree with Jim Davis. You need to give more context, in general ... there isn't enough here. Even if it wasn't necessary in this particular case, it is still helpful and considerate to your colleagues to provide full background information to make it easier to give you a correct answer.
Angela Guisci (asker) Oct 2, 2014:
ty James in this case it is not necessary. It is about a guided tour in a city, so visitors will be accompanied by interpreters.
James (Jim) Davis Oct 2, 2014:
need the surrounding text. As in: "In order to translate a term or phrase properly, as translators we very often *need the surrounding text* in order to word the translation appropriately and to understand all the nuances that may apply". Possible translations could be "assist", "accompany", "guide" "escort" etc. Which is best depends on the general background and the surrounding text.
Help us to help you please. The posting instructions are not red tape they were fought for very hard.
Angela Guisci (asker) Oct 2, 2014:
hello James, the answer given by Lara is okay .... I'm translating a tourist webpage, in particular tourist packages.... ty anyway :-)
James (Jim) Davis Oct 2, 2014:
With no additional source text, not even the whole sentence, any attempt at the right translation is difficult. Otherwise it would be easy.

Interpreters shall accompany the guests

I am not sure how exactly this phrase fits into the context, but "accompany" may work here.
Example sentence:

"Interpreters: Meeting and ACCOMPANYING foreign guests, interpreting at exhibitions, business negotiations, trainings, seminars, ....."

" Our simultaneous, consecutive and liaison INTERPRETERS WILL ACCOMPANY YOU in your conferences, meetings, presentations and training all around the world. "

ty Lara :-)

interpreters are made available to the guests

it could even mean that the interpreters are available on a one-to-one basis for the guests, literally 'at their sides'
