Italian term

alimentazione (in context)

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping trailer (vehicle)
Theft report for a semitrailer.

La refurtiva del fatto e' composta da:
Rimorchio Viberti Non Definito, alimentazione non definita, numero telaio ......., carrozeria Cassone, immatricolato in Italia, anno di immatricolazione 2003, targa no.....

I can't think what is meant here - could it be to do with the supply of electrics ie for lights?

Thanks!

Thank you Amy. Hope to be able to help out again in the future.
Leonardo Marcello Pignataro (X) Aug 22, 2005:
If you check the Carabinieri web-site and go through the procedure for reporting a car theft, just by filling in the spaces with "XXX", you can check yourself the various options given: https://sicuro.carabinieri.it/DenunciaWeb/
Non-ProZ.com Aug 21, 2005:
hi Anna, thanks for confirming that - I think it must be to do with electrics as trailers don't have fuel supply.

Yes, of course Amy. I was thinking of a trailer attached to a car....
Peer comment(s):

agree Daniela Zambrini : FUEL > If this is a standard form to be filled when reportig vehicle thefts I imagine that the relevant space is provided but in this specific case it is left empty or "not described" as it is non-existent in trailers
