2. The word 'gear' as a general equivalent of "экипировка" can't be found in film-related documents
It may only be mentioned in contexts related to specific activities as part of such combinations as "firefighting gear," "diving gear," etc
3. One could easily find more than three (at the very least, thirteen) general dictionaries where экипировка is translated as 'equipment' or 'gear,' but this would make neither word adequate as a translation in the present professional context

Yet (on second thought) there may be reasons to reduce the translation to 'personal props,' based on wider context
Indeed, "экипировка" on the Russian web pages linked here refers to little more than weapons, and James Bond's weapons and other hand props (see the four links above) seem highly personal, don't they?
