: Возможно если 1) опрос ведется по радиоканалу, и 2) в режиме запрос/ответ. Если же речь идет просто о считывании/съеме данных/показаний, то лучше этот термин не использовать.

2nd reference: look at the second page, top left, "LVDT input"
The 2nd reference is definitely written by a British native speaker, so you should be on the safe side with it. :-)
Alternative: "sampling rate", but only if your device is an A/D converter.
