Russian to English Medical Medical (general) ICU
An article describing the functions of the ICU. I understand that the first part is basically "Deputy Head Physician" but I am not sure exactly how to translate the second part of the phrase. Especially as the second half of the sentence also mentions a "заместителя главного врача по стационару". What is the difference between the two positions?

Full sentence: Ежедневно проводятся утренние обходы с участием главного врача, заместителя главного врача по медицинской части, заместителя главного врача по стационару, лечащих врачей.

Of course these are all very "Russian" positions, so they'd sound weird enough in English no matter what. This is what an equivalent position might be called at a US hospital. Deputy Chief Physician works too, I guess. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter much one way or another.

I think there is a specific term in medicine for medical treatment as a theory, but I cannot remember it right now.

Physician seems enough, just to differentiate between the two)
or Chief of Medicine (not "for":)
E.g.: the physician in charge - врач, ведущий больного, лечащий врач
Example sentence:
