"military police patrol"
As there is no exact equivalent for Komendantskii patrol, or so it seems, because nobody has proposed the right term yet, I would suggest using something like "military police patrol".
Though members of komendantskii patrol are not military patrol but rather are regular officers temporarily assigned to this duty, the purpose of it, i.e. enforcing discipline among the soldiers, and often arresting them, looks to me like what military police is supposed to do (hope I am not wrong, am I?).
So if the story you are translating is not about this patrol itself, and is more about soldiers who might be caught by it, then, I beleive, you may safely substitute the komendantskii patrol simply by the "military police patrol".

You may have heard about the courtesy patrol at Loch Raven or even seen a patroller on the trail, but what is the courtesy patrol and what does a patroller do?
The courtesy patrol is a joint project between the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and MAMBO. The patrol was formed approximately two years ago with the goal to educate, assist, and inform, not only mountain bike riders, but all trail users of the "rules" of the trail. This in turn will (hopefully) preserve our riding privileges at the city owned reservoirs. Emphasis is placed on trail user etiquette, mechanical assistance, environmental concerns, local expertise and interaction with the DNR. Enforcement of "rules" is not a function of the courtesy patrol.

Curfew in enforced by the order of military officials in charge of current situation in any given location. It can be declaired round-the-clock, there is such thing as kruglosutochny k. ch., or for the night time. After the start time clicks, patrols go on the streets and do exIactly what you\'ve described, because curfew means that only people with certain \"credentials\" have a right to move about outside.

Didn't know either term, but from looking at both on Google, the US courtesy patrol appears to be a police patrol intended to assist people in distress etc; whereas комендантский патруль is possibly police, possibly military police, looking out for troublemakers, illegal immigrants etc.
Not sure how you'd translate it: routine patrol, perhaps? Depends on context.

Discussion
Military police really does not touch civillians. That's why it's called MILITARY police. I asked a soldier friend and he also suggested military police or MP.
Thank you for your help brainstorming .
I was also under such impression, but after searching for "courtesy patrol" together with "army" I came up with something similar to "komendantskii patrol". I think that the traffic police borrowed the term from the Army. I have to find myself a soldier to ask all these army questions :)
What is the right term for this function in English?
