"В этой сцене Полоний получает огромный заряд на все следующее действие" - this is talking about the beginning of Act Two, the scene with Polonius and Ophelia.
Given the context, it seems to make sense to choose something like "ammunition" - "Polonius receives a vast amount of ammunition in this scene for all the action that is to follow" - but заряд doesn't mean "ammunition" as far as I can tell so I could have completely changed the meaning of the sentence.
Any help gratefully received, many thanks in advance.

It sounds as if заряд is being used with its usual figurative sense of "charge," but how to put this in that sentence so that it flows well is another question. Does the author develop the idea in the next sentence or two?

In this scene [the character of] Polonius is energized for all the subsequent action / for all the later action / for all the action that follows / for all the action to come.
... is / gets charged up for all the subsequent action. (I was going to say "cranked up"!)
... receives a dose of energy that will discharge throughout the play / throughout all the action to come.
... gets a charge of energy that will be released throughout the play.
(Or, mix and match.)
