I know it literally means "the very best" but I don't think that sounds quite as natural in English to me as "wonderful memories".

agree Сергей Лузан : It sounds more natural and is used more common (33,300 for "have wonderful memories of"/ 49,200 for "have wonderful memories ") IMHO.
