Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (2): Eugene V, Irene N

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

For anybody who would like to know classification of \"bad drug\":
1)slack (term used by white people),
2)wack (term used more by black people),
3)pinched (as if somebody piched a little bit from it and it\'s not the right quantity).
4)As for \"bunk\", it comes from it\'s original meaning \"nary\", so to say very cheap, welfare, getto style, not good, - i have just asked all my drug dealers friends. :-)
\"Bespontovyj\" basicly means \"not cool, not good\" and as far as i would think, it is not really necessary to translate the original meaning of \"pont\" since it has evaluated.

some more:
knackered: tired, exhausted
crap (impolite): excrement, shit, something with no value.
naf, naff: of poor quality, rubbish
sad: pathetic, poor, opposite of cool.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Here's some more encouragement! Just about everybody's answers were helpful, but you did put a lot of work into it. Incidentally, Sergey, "research" is a non-countable noun, so "excellent research" or "excellent piece of research"!"

more chances not to get high with is

безпонтовый, беспонт - the drug you would not get high with, useless, worse than the ususal stuff. or may be some substance that the dealer gives you instead of the drug, substance that is not a drug really.

agree Andrey Belousov (X) : just "less potent"

Здесь - lousy, worse than elsewhere

Can't think of a better slang term yet I will try to explain the word starting from the original meaning of this jargon as it was used in my time and earlier:-)

понт (jarg.) - show-off, also think of nouveau riche behavior or peaceful demonstration of power by street gangs (without actual fighting)

без понта - without showing-off, accordingly

Now it seems like the new generation tailored the meaning for the drug slang and attributed "positive" notion to понт making it closer to крутой which is touph guy or big shot in case of a human, or a good, strong stuff in case of drugs.

So, беспонтовый наркотик means poor quality for a drug, and nobody, hillbilly, not a boss, schmoe, "шестерка" for a human.

In other words, Egor's suggestion describes the idea right, but I thought I should clarify the matter a litle bit.

agree Ann Nosova : with the meaning of expression

Thank you, Ann. I agree, I'm not too happy with the wording myself.

no kidding! come on, you aren't such an expert!
