Yabancı ülkelerde kurulan şirketler, Ekonomiden Sorumlu Bakanlığın onayı ve Bakanlar Kurulu’ndan izin alınması koşuluyla, KKTC’nde bir işyeri (veya şube) açabilirler ve bu şirketler Yabancı (veya Denizaşırı) şirket statüsünde tescil ettirilirler.


Bu amaçla KKTC Resmi Kabz Memurluğu ve Mukayyitlik Dairesi’ne, yukarıda belirtilen belgelere ek olarak, aşağıda yer alan belgelerin de sunulması gerekmektedir.

In case the company is a foreign company or a branch of a foreign company, it is registered under the status of “ Foreign (Overseas) Company” and is subject to approval of the Ministry responsible for economic matters and authorization of the Council of Ministers.
For the registration of a branch or a place of business as “Foreign (Overseas) Company”, the following additional documents have to be presented to the Official Receiver and Registrar.

In January 2000, Cyprus lifted all restrictions on investment by EU residents (natural as well as legal persons) -- including restrictions on the extent of participation and minimum level of investment in any enterprise in Cyprus. Furthermore, since June 2003, EU investors have been able to go directly to the Official Receiver and Registrar and register a company in Cyprus just like local investors, without needing to obtain a permit from the Central Bank first. Prospective U.S. investors, who already have a presence in the EU, can take advantage of this new liberalized policy on investments by applying for their foreign investment permit through their subsidiary in the EU.
