participate in this legal proceeding

An ¨acto¨ in this instance refers to the legal proceeding of ¨entering into a contract or agreement."

That is one option, I am sure my colleagues will suggest others.

Thank you, John - yes, or contract - Mike :)
agree Victoria Porter-Burns : I agree Mike/John - although entering into this contract I think is less ambiguous here

Thank you, Victoria - yes, you are right - after all, it's not like entering a circus act - depending on the contract itself, that is - Mike :)
agree Henry Hinds

Thank ou, Monica - Mike :)
disagree AllegroTrans : "act" usually refers to a law, as this is about a document, I think a clearer term is needed
4 hrs
Thank you, AllegroTrans - I agree that it is clearer and better to "contract" as John and Victoria suggested - Mike :)
disagree Donald Scott Alexander : I was going to say the same thing AllegroTrans said. This is just a "contract" being entered into ("celebrado") by two parties, not an "acto" which is a law passed by a legislature.

Thank you, Scott - I agree that it is clearer and better to "contract" as John, Victoria and AllegroTrans suggested - Mike :)
