German term

primäre Abteilung/primär abgeteilt

German to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals Darreichungsform, comparing two similar gel products
this is comparing 2 similar gel products One is available "primär abgeteilt" in sachets, the other with pump ohne "primäre Abteilung".
All I could find was 'pre-dosed' on Linguee, but unable to confirm. Is it 'metered dosing'?
Proposed translations (English)
4 Predosed
3 sachet dose

"Predosed" sounds good to me.

Predosed

I agree completely as well.

If it is "predosed" in a container, then metered dose would make more sense. You are right given the context. Good thinking!

In the sachets I would think that predosed should be used. If it is in a pump, then it would have to be a metered dose. Hope that helps.
Note from asker:
But googling pre-dosed and together with gel in pump or sachets, the meaning was quite different, and only 'metered dose' came up. Can you give any references Please?
Im confused, which is more correct then, metered or pre-dosed (of gel in sachet/pump dispenser?

sachet dose

might work in this case...
For patients who weigh 60 kg or more, the tablet dose is 200 mg PO q12h and the sachet dose is 250 mg PO q12h.

So it might read

"primarily divided into sachet doses" (as opposed to the bulk in the pump container bottle)

or

"provided in sachet doses"
Note from asker:
the issue is whether the 2 drugs, sachet vs. pump dispenser are identical, the crux being the presence or absence of primäre Abteilung, so one term has to be used, so not sachet dose, as thhis only pertains to one.
