Italian term

cineritici

Italian to English Science Geology mineral mining
This is from a document describing geological surveying techniques.

"L'obiettivo principale era quello di utilizzare il metodo ERT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) come linea guida per individuare depositi cineritici potenzialmente sfruttabili mediante attività mineraria"

Sounds òlike it should be "ash deposits"

I've searched google for this but haven,t been able to find any documents where both language terms (IT and EN) and present.

Can anyone with geology/geography expèerience confirm this?
Proposed translations (English)
4 cinerite
2 ash

Discussion

Wendy Streitparth Oct 16, 2012:
Pretty sure I read water sedimented when researching.
achisholm (asker) Oct 16, 2012:
Yes, thanks. Using the right word I was able to find a lot more material. Know my only confusion is if they are air-deposited (pyroclasts) or water sedimented. Thanks for your help anyway.
Wendy Streitparth Oct 16, 2012:
The terms "cineritic layer" and "cineritic deposits" seem to exist.

Tephra classification
