I am having problems finding a decent English phrase to translate "area freddo". Here is an example of what "area freddo" is in context with two other areas (I've just copied over 3 of the 7):
a un punto di vista dell’organizzazione espositiva, la manifestazione si articola in 7 macroaree: Area Caldo (riscaldamento, antincendio, regolazione automatica), Area freddo (condizionamento, refrigerazione, ventilazione, canalizzazioni, pompe per i sistemi di condizionamento) Area eco energie (caldaie, stufe, termocamini a pellets o altre biomasse) ciascuna focalizzata su un determinato focus di interesse.
The only term I need to translate is "area freddo", but any response for "area freddo" would certainly help in translating the other terms if anybody else needed them.
So, "area freddo" refers to air conditioning, refrigeration etc - but what is it exactly? A department? A section in a factory? A production sector producing "cooling equipment"?
The context I have is restoration to a bakery's "area freddo".

or cooling system area. Or you could scrap the "area" (as you'll have translated it in context anyway) and go with "cooling systems", perhaps.

Given Frances' clarification, I think "cold area" is probably the best translation. The example given of the trade fair is probably misleading.
In the context of a bakery, it strikes me as far more likely that it refers to an area which is *itself* cold rather than one used to house the various cooling systems.

If it's the 'cold area' of a bakery for either storing raw ingredients before use or produced baked goods or pastries, I'd use refrigeration units. Even if it's not some type of walk-in fridge or 'cooled' warehouse but the 'air-conditioning' for the bakery - I still believe 'refrigeration unit' works.

Discussion
The other example in Italian is only to provide a definition or sorts in Italian, so I defined it as an example rather as opposed to my context, but I wasn't clear enough. Despite finding that example in Italian, I still wasn't 100% sure what this "area freddo" could be in a bakery.
Even though the example was about an exhibition, I have found many examples of "area freddo" and "area caldo" on Google with regard to job vacancies (i.e. manager of "area caldo" in a factor, etc). Perhaps it is simply "the cooling area" of a bakery or the "cooling system".
