Russian to English Tech/Engineering Architecture architecture cv

This term is found reoccurring on several occasions within the CV of an architect with significant architectural experience behind him. Looking through my dictionaries and glossaries (as well as online reference material), the only reference I can find for "узлы" refers to 'nodes' or 'sites' in an IT context.

The context here in this architect's CV is the following:

* Разрабатывал принципиальную посадку всех зданий на сложном участке с рельефом местности в 30 га. Разрабатывал рабочие узлы. Координировал весь процесс со смежниками и субподрядными организациями.
