Italian term

aerei prospetti

Italian to English Other Tourism & Travel Michelin guide abstract
Edificio simbolo del Rinascimento è Palazzo Farnese in cui le severe forme dell'esterno si contrappongono agli aerei prospetti verso cortile.

All I'm getting is "planes" for aerei, though I'm thinking the idea is either "airy" or "lofty" views. Is this right?

Thanks,

Peter

lightweight facades

Here, prospetti should be facades. For "aerei" lightweight is just a suggestion.

agree philgoddard : Yes, or open, or graceful - anything along those lines. It means they're broken up, whereas the exterior is continuous.
