MTPE (EN→FR), 50k words, computer science & AI questions, MSc/PhD required

We are translating one of the world's most demanding benchmark datasets into French and several other languages. The goal: making AI evaluation truly multilingual, so that AI systems are tested just as rigorously in French as in English. Your work helps put French on an equal footing in how AI is evaluated.

The task. You post-edit machine-translated, expert-level computer science and AI questions (English→French), written by researchers around the world. The material spans algorithms and theory, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cryptography, cybersecurity, quantum computing, robotics, data science, and more. The machine translation does most of the work, but only someone who genuinely understands the material can catch the subtle terminology, notation, and code errors it makes. If you cannot follow computer science, you cannot do this work — that is why we require an academic background. A second subject expert reviews your output.

Good to know
- Total project value about €2.500
- Paid weekly for the work you deliver, so you are never waiting long to be paid
- Volume: about 49,600 source words; deadline mid-August 2026
- Part of each item is code, formulas, and notation that you copy directly from the source, so your editing effort per item is lower than the word count suggests
- You work in a simple, purpose-built tool: source text and machine translation side by side, with a field for your corrected version — no CAT tool required
- Fully remote, flexible hours — you plan your own schedule

Your profile:
- MSc or PhD in computer science, or a related quantitative field: artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cryptography, cybersecurity, quantum computing, theoretical computer science, information theory, or engineering/mathematics with a strong computer-science core
- Native or native-level French, and good English
- Precise and self-directed; translation/MTPE experience is a plus
