Now that we have the whole picture (pun intended) and it’s weekend, I could look into this a bit more. I tried to scan both the hand signature and the writing on the other side of it with OCR software. Then, I looked up the names I got from the transcription. None led to anything relevant, unfortunately. This swirly character is making things really complicated. If we know what it’s supposed to be, the answer will surely present itself. Now I am curious. Please let us know if you’ve manage... See more Now that we have the whole picture (pun intended) and it’s weekend, I could look into this a bit more. Anyway, disregard the suggestion in my previous post. r/whatisthisthing no longer allows submissions pertaining to arts or anything that may identify a real person. Oh, how things have changed.

I'd have replied sooner but I don't receive notifications of new posts. The "swirly" character seems to be an E -- check the name of the picture, bottom left: DER Boss. Any help?

Do you know the nationality of this author? I had a teacher in high school who wrote several different letter the same way in his handwriting. Just saying. He wrote the letter O as an apple (literally) and would write a heart in the letter j at the bottom, each time. The bottom of the letter J would be a heart. He was a published poet LOL

Honestly, you should apply for an appointment in the above mentioned locally well-known German TV show, and if it's only for to get to know the name of the artist. I assume that your object would be assessed before admitted to one of the shows. I noticed that you are living in Cologne, so you should know that show. Good luck and keep us informed, please.
Why don't you go to an art galery? They are the experts.
