I'm guessing you're not a Mac user, because judging by Tom's screenshot this particular duck looks like a regular Micro$oft AutoUpdate, swims like a regular Micro$oft AutoUpdate, and quacks like a regular Micro$oft AutoUpdate.

Yes, it probably IS a proper scam. And the modus operandi has MS's fingerprints all over it, and no mistake, guv.

It's interesting though. If M$ is deliberately trying to trick unsuspecting users into deleting their earlier versions of M$ Office, thereby (it hopes) giving them no option other than to buy Office365, is that even legal?
