Description:

PERSONAL GLOSSARY
Jul 18, 2013
Dear Claudia,
Thanks for your interest and comment.
If you want to create a glossary for a specific domain, I wouldn't say that using MT to translate it is the best way. I'd rather say that the glossary needs to be created by the linguist, to use it later to feed our translation. So, that is more related to terminology management. In that case, the glossary can be created manually or using terminology extractors. Anyway, a final human review should be carried out. The ter... See more

The terminology extraction process can be monolingual or bilingual depending on what document file formats and tools you have to work with.
However, if you already have a glossary and you're planning to translate it with MT, I would simply put it into SDL Trados Studio, add the SDL BeGlobal MT engine and see the results. In the MT engine is already fed with terminology from your subject field, you may be surprised by the good results.
I hope that helps. Best regards, Sergio
