"The Queen is dead" "Liz Truss is the new PM" 'The pound is trending toward parity with the US dollar" and other ring-wing, pro-establishment screeds. If you are not aware of possible implications, then you don't have to worry. (Btw, the PayPal news has been reported repeatedly in the MSM in the US, as well as in the WSJ). You might want to do some research on PayPal founder Peter Thiel.

Ahem... Few centuries ago there used to be this institution that called itself the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith, whose less known "tool" was the confiscation of assets of "wrongthinkers" that it decided to be worthy of its loving care.
If you ask again: "How is this relevant to translators?"
I could ask a counter question: "How could this not be relevant to everyone?"
Or I could repeat: "If you are not aware of possible implications for anyone and everyone, then you don't have to worry"
And add: "When you become personally aware of possible implications, by then it will be too late to start worrying".
