Also do not have the trados workbench toolbar in word... Aug 8, 2011

Dear fellow translators,
I've read all the messages in this thread but none of this has worked, mainly because I can't find this "TRADOS7" that the solution seems to hinge on...
I have Word 2010 on my computer and the OS is Vista, could it be that one of these elements is not compatible with Trados?
Should I look for somewhere online where I can download this "TRADOS7" file and then try to paste it into templates? I just need to get this toolbar to appear in Word to even start

Should I look for somewhere online where I can download this "TRADOS7" file and then try to paste it into templates? I just need to get this toolbar to appear in Word to even start using the program. I'm sure lots of people have had to do this so somebody must be able to explain it. There is plenty of information on how to use the program after but not on how to set this up in the first place! Please help someone!

Here is the translation of this message. God knows I had a hard time doing it! I have Office in Spanish, so the menu translations might not be correct.

Find TRADOS7.dot and paste it in Templates (In Vista: Equipo/Usuarios/Your User/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Templates). Once this is done, open Word 2007. Click on the Office Botton and select Options on the bottom right corner of the menu. Select "add ins" and then at the bottom of the window, select "Templates" in the scroll menu. A window opens, and this is where you must add the TRADOS7.dot template. The Trados toolbar will appear in Word.

If someone can improve this explanation, please do it. A lot of people are having trouble with this!

Good luck!

So far it worked. It appeared on the menu.
Thank you!

Edit: But it doesn't open the strings... :-/ I try to open the first sentence and all I get is a Windows sound like the one you get when you do something "wrong" and on the Workbench it reads "(33353) end of paragraph not found"
I don't know what's wrong...

"33353: en of paragraph not found error" Jun 14, 2012

I use Trados 2006 and Word 2007. I completed all the process regarding copy paste from Trados>TT>Templates to Start Up folder of Office. Trados commands appeared on Word toolbar. However, whenever I try to start translation and open segment, "33353: end of paragraph not found" error massage appears on Trados Workbanch. So, Trados commands are totally useless.

I wonder if the reason might be that the file in the Templates folder is Trados7.dot, and that it is incompatible with Word 2

I wonder if the reason might be that the file in the Templates folder is Trados7.dot, and that it is incompatible with Word 2007. On the other hand, if it was incompatible, I thought that Trados commands would not be appeared on the toolbar at all.

I have not able to find a solution to this problem so far. I would appriciate if someone could help me.
