Maria has 30 years of experience in translation and legal consultancy (procurement law, commercial law). She worked as in-house translator for the German Court of Auditors, the European Court of Auditors and the Council of the European Union. Her current job is in legal consultancy with the Finance Directorate of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union. Maria earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Heidelberg (Germany). Maria also has a BA in English and American Literature from California State University Northridge.
