Hello all,
I work at a LSP using Trados Groupshare. We usually work with very large projects involving many outside vendors and some form of communication between them would be useful to chat about terms that have not yet been included in the project's termbase.
At the moment, we create a chat room in Skype for translators to discuss terms and other matters relevant to the translation of a specific project, but it would be useful if there was a chat function within Trados itself, as it would no longer be necessary to use an outside software.
Are you aware of anything of the sort that we may use? The comments function within Trados does not meet this need, as it basically allows for communication from translator to proofreader and not between translators.

Comments in Online Editor
Jun 9, 2021
Hello,
As far as I know there is no similar plug-in available for Trados Studio.
Do you use the Online Editor of GroupShare? It should have the possibility to interact with another translator or reviewer working on the same file. You can leave a comment and your colleague will directly see it. That's much more practical than the comments function of Studio.
Hope this will help.

Thank you for answering, Ramona!
We do use Online Editor, but as we work with large projects with multiple files (and never enough time), we have to allocate each file to a translator, so we were looking for a better way to integrate communication for people working on the same project but on different files.
